Ime Inyang graduated from the University of Sokoto, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language (1989). She also obtained a Masters degree in International Labour Relations (MILR) from Lagos State University (2003). She is a member of of the Chartered Institute of Management (MCIM).

Ime Inyang, after graduation worked for Abuja Environmental Protection Board as a Public Relations Manager (1989 - 1992).
